How to change the date format ? $h_time variable date(__(‘Y/m/d’) but don’t want to change the plugin core file.. How can I change it to d/m/Y using my functions file ?

I want the same thing. To change the time and date format without modifying the plugin files. How to make use of the WP time and date settings?
