Plugin readme.txt to include special characters (different languages)

    Hi,

    Our plugin is now available in various languages, so I would like to add some text in different languages (which includes special characters, e.g. in Russian, Chinese etc.) in the readme.txt.

    If I save the readme.txt on my local computer it saves fine (I have to switch to “unicode” though) but when I upload it on WordPress it causes issues.

    What’s the best way to go about this?
