Good time. The fact is that I bought the plugin a year ago and more than once wrote that the plugin does not work, there was no technical solution from the developer. The plugin could not be used, the developer did not answer me. Please answer me!

    Hi @satartor

    Thank you for your message.

Do you talk about the conversation at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/sitemap-returns-404-not-found-page/ ? If so, sorry I didn’t follow up.

I had a quick look and you purchased the token in September 2019 and it is valid for one year. Your message was from August 2020 and the token expired one month later.

If you like, I can offer you a free token for another year, but I’m not sure if this problem is easily fixable.

I had a quick look at your website and it seems there is something messed up with the HTML code. The w3c validator reports lots of errors and it seems there is something wrong, also because the reported errors partly don’t match up with the HTML delivered to me when I access the site.

If you use the Sitemap Generator again, I can have a look at the log files and see with what parts the Sitemap Generator has issues when accessing your site, but from what I see now, it seems that you then have to fix some technical issues with your website.

    Best regards
    Marco

Ok, let’s extend and I’ll create a file from your plugin so you can check it out. It’s a shame to buy and not use

If you prefer, I could also send you the purchase amount via Paypal. It’s not nice for me, because the purchase was 1.5 years ago and I already paid taxes and fees on the amount, which I could not get back, but if it’s what you prefer, I would do that.

Yeah, it’s a shame, but to be fair, you purchased a product with a license for 12 month and complained after 11 month that it doesn’t work. And I cannot check if the token was used for the first 11 month because I keep no detailed usage logs…

@mbsec Marco, I do not want to return money, I am interested in the work of the plugin. Let’s extend and test it right away. I understand you, but it did not work initially, I thought the problem was on my part, but other resources saw it well and the plugin did not work. Made a map of only images. I am also not pleased to pay and not use. I want to deal with the problem with you now and continue to buy a plug-in from you and use it

I made a quick test run and it seems to work fine. I was able to generate a sitemap for your website.

Please find below the new token for your website. It is valid for one year for a website with up to 50’000 URLs, just in case the purchased 25’000 URLs token wasn’t enough.

Please make sure that there are no spaces or line breaks introduced when copying the token.

Can you try it again with the new token?

    Best regards
    Marco

(@mbsec) Marco, Everything works, I have redirected it several times. I want to ask a question, why could it not work for the first time? is it possible that wordpress itself was poorly done? Now all is well, I will renew it in the future and work with you. Thank you for coming into my position and helping me. I will recommend you to my friends.

    Hi @satartor

Thank you for your reply, I’m glad that it works now!

I’m not sure why it didn’t work the last time. I had no reports from other users the last few month and thus the Sitemap Generator should have worked fine.

Often the origin of issues is a firewall that doesn’t allow the Sitemap Generator to access the site. But in these cases you should get an error message and no sitemap is saved.

I don’t understand exactly what kind of issues you had, because translation of your description (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/sitemap-returns-404-not-found-page/#post-13235649) is hard to read.

If the Sitemap Generator reported that your site has more URLs than allowed by the token, it is often an extension that generates dynamically thousands of pages.

It could even be a infinite number of pages, for example I have seen some calendars, which have a “go to next month” button, but have no limit of the max year. And in these cases the Sitemap Generator gets trapped because he doesn’t know that for example a page for the month February in the year 99999999999 doesn’t make sense and should be ignored.

Another source of trouble can be cache or compression plugins. Your frontpage is relatively large (about 1.4 MB) and has lots of metadata (much from woocommerce).

But you have a compression plugin installed which brings the size down to under 100 KB. If there is now an error in the compression implementation, it could be that the uncompressed content is not exactly the same as your WordPress site originally generated and the HTML could get invalid.

Browsers are normally very fault tolerant, but the Sitemap Generator and other crawlers, for example from search engines, are usually more strict when parsing the HTML.

I hope this info helps a little bit.

    Have a nice evening
    Marco
