This appears to be a host side issue since everything is working fine at GoDaddy (about the only thing that works correctly over there :p )

Desiring to move away from GoDaddy, I moved the client’s Daily Press (ThemeForest) site to a different host. I’ve tried this with both a move of the site, as well as a fresh build of the site, with no difference. What happens is that after importing the settings XML file provided with Daily Press, I am able to see the new Settings under Option Tree > Settings, however nothing I do will make any of the Theme Options show up under Appearance > Theme Options.

I’ve tried importing the XML with the plugin tool as well as many other crazy things, all to no avail. I’ve also tried a fresh install of WordPress with the basic TwentyEleven theme, and still have the same problem. What in the world would be going on with my host to cause such an issue??

    WP 3.4.1
    OT 2.0.9

Unfortunately, I never found a way to get around the problem. The client’s website regrettably has to stay on GoDaddy for the foreseeable future :/

I’m just guessing in the dark here, but is the PHP version the same on both hosts?

I’m unsure about whether the versions matched as I currently do not have access to the original site in question, but you made me think of something else: Due to an unrelated issue on my host server, awhile back I discovered that the platform was using php 5.2 and I needed to be running 5.3. So I decided to go load up the test fresh install I mentioned in my original post, which hasn’t been touched since then (so the WP version and everything is the same), just to see if php 5.3 made a difference… and apparently it did!

I do not know if this was a case of version matching, or if you just need to be on 5.3 or later, but everything is working now (albeit way too late). Thanks for reviving this old thread to get me looking into it 😉
