@markemark – Do you have more than one language enabled in your browser? I don’t remember why but that is the only thing that comes to mind. We have a translation request that detects multiple languages enabled, but I can’t remember why it wasn’t appearing for dismissal. Will need to dig it up.
Otherwise check the Extend section, see if any of the subtabs have a red indicator icon as well. If so try viewing it to clear them.

I did have 3 languages, English (UK), English, English (US) _ i removed to only have 1 – but still see notification.
I also checked all the extend subtabs and no red indicator.
still have red notification bubble.
