I support @shobhitdevwp:
WPLMI does not work on Archive pages, that is on such pages as: category keyword author archive-by-date, the posts main page, and the recent-posts Gutenberg block.
The only thing that really works, is the last-modified column in the back end.
Also works, but is not that much needed, is the last-update-line on the individual single posts, and the short-code.
My theme is Twenty Twenty-One. I added JQuery, because it is required bei WPLMI, and was not in the theme or in WPLMI. I changed the language from german to US-english. But it did not help.
Unfortunately, the feature is not built-in into core WordPress. And I don’t see alternative plugins, and modifiying a theme myself is out of question. It would be much needed to see the last-modified-information there on archive pages, from a users point.
As a side effect, I noticed that the settings (show LMI on (pages posts media)) are not sticky (when all three are removed), and in us-english (pages posts) are available, but in german (pages posts media). Of course I noticed (disable on Archive pages, and so on), and removed the (disables) in the settings, such that LMI should appear – but LMI didn’t appear there.
