• Hi,
I’m loving WP Pipes and it is working as expected. However for some odd reason now the plugin won’t show the contents of the author or category fields, making it impossible to set up a pipe to post to a specific author or category.

I think this bug isn’t browser specific, as inspecting the HTML code for those fields, they show up with the correct number of items but just won’t show the labels.

Forgot to tell that it was working properly before, when I first installed the plugin months ago. I’m not sure of when this started.

    Hi denisgomesfran,

Have you just upgraded your PHP to v7 recently?

Our WPPipes maybe not work on PHP7.

    Best Regards!

    Yep, that’s it.

Weird thing is, WP Pipes IS working as expected, no problems at all, I just can’t see authors and categories.

Reverted to PHP 5.6, I can now see the categories and authors lists.

Still, the plugin seems to work all fine under PHP7. This is the only problem I noticed.

    Hi,

Yes, I know it. I will try to fix it with next versions of WPPipes.

Thank you for using our plugin!

    Best Regards!

    Hi Tung,

I am experiencing a similar issue with my install of the Pipes Plugin. I am running PHP5.6 – and I too do not see Categories nor Authors – please advise? Thank you!

    Best regards,
    Matt

Changing my server over to PHP 5.6 solved the issue for me, @erickmbe.

Yeah I check my server on bluehost and it shows the install as running PHP5.6. I tried switching between PHP5.4 and PHP7.0 as well and there is no difference. I am still seeing the categories and author section as blank. I can go in manually into each post afterwards and change but I would be curious if there is resolve to filter these feeds into their dedicated categories.

@phamtungpth I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
