[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Using templates with tags

I’d like to use a shortcode like that:
[ngggallery tag=elvis-aristide-bazongo template=”horizontalcarousel” mode=”date”]

I tried, but it doesn’t work, as is probably not supported.
How could I achieve this same result.

I just need to to exactly what the normal [ngggallery id=x template=”horizontalcarousel” mode=”date”] would do, but using a tag, instead of a gallery ID.
