I’m using v1.3.3 of NextGen Gallery on WP 2.8 and I am having the same problem. I can’t make the navigation bar to appear though I have checked it in the settings page. The js config object generated by the plugin has the shownavigation attribute always set as false, though the others keep on changing. Am I missing something here?
Nice plugin, though.
Same problem. I have not been able to get navigation bars to show in any of my slideshows. With 1.3.3 and 2.8 (or previous versions for that matter. I would love to resolve this. Bothered me for months and preventing me from using slideshows. Thanks.
Here is one example.

And you have for sure in the gallery settings -> Show navigation bar “enabled” ? I need to check that but here it’s fine : http://nextgen.boelinger.com/slideshow/
Ok, I see. The default value is true, so it will add a parameter only when you disable it, in this case : You must use the Imagerotator Version 3.17 ! (Rightclick in the flash)
Simple as that. Thank you for all the wonderful work and the support.
My issue, I suspect, is a theme problem: the navigation bar only appears when viewing the slideshow in its post’s own page. The navigation bar does not appear in the slideshow on the home page. Any suggestions?
