So does one of my sites. Uncheck the integrate flash for flash devices option and it should work with the new Cycle.
I have updated to version 1.6.0.
And now I have the same problem.

Is the slideshow flash player in the gallery settings enabled ?
I will look in the evening for this…
For my site this was the solution.
I´ve changed Line 321 to
if ( NGGALLERY_IREXIST == true )
and the flash version works.
But not the jquery-slideshow.
