[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] broken images…

i try to upload images to the gallery and all I get is broken images…
I tried jpeg, gif… nothing works.
the picturs upload, I get a message they uploaded sucssesfully but the icons look like a broken image and the pics arent showing in the gallery!
eny idea why?
