[Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form] Turn Off – Directions

    With a recent upgrade (of either WP or the plug-in) I ended up with a format change for my subscribe box (www.nvena.org). I think I could improve things if I could get the “directions” for each field removed, and maybe manage the font a little. Is there a way to turn off the feature that says “Enter First Name” etc…

    Hey there, Nvena!

    We did recently update our MailChimp plugin so that it pulled in a little more information from your list and forms. The information that you’re seeing is from the “Help Text” area of your signup forms. That can be edited by going to “lists” -> “forms” and editing the specific fields.

    One thing to note, however, is that after the help text is removed from the form on MailChimp, you’ll want to go log back into your WordPress dashboard and go to “Settings” -> “MailChimp Setup” -> “Update List”. After that, you should be good to go!

    Thanks. That did it, sort of. Turns out that I needed to delete the “Help text” which it seems in the Mail Chimp side, can only be done under the “new fancy” form editor, which isn’t the default.
