[plugin: List category posts] same shortcode, different page = different results

    I am using the shortcode

    [display-posts category="projects" posts_per_page="2" image_size="post-thumb" include_date="true" order="DESC" orderby="date"]

    on my home page (which is a ‘page’), and it is ignoring the latest two posts from the category ‘projects’, however if I copy this same code to another page it shows the correct (last two posts) ok.

    If I try changing the order then the home page code responds so it is unlikely to be caching. I am fresh out if ideas. Can anyone help?
