Does anyone know how the caption for an image is set? I know that if I look at the XML file in the directory with the image, it has a caption section, and this can be used to set the caption that is displayed, but how is the caption originally created? Is it created from metadata?

Basically what I need is to be able to set the image caption from an external program and then display this caption in lazyest gallery. Any ideas?

  • Captions are created in the Lazyest Gallery backend.
You could have your external program change the captions in the XML file.
Lazyest Gallery will read and display them. No problems.
Note: in the file, captions are html and utf8 encoded.
