[Plugin: kPicasa Gallery] Excellent plugin!

Excellent plugin!! Exactly what I needed. During the installation process, I fixed a small issue with another plugin, called Similar Posts, version 2.6.2. Essentially, the two don’t work together. If you try, you will get the message KPICASA_GALLERY instead of the actual album(s).

There is an easy workaround though. In the Options page for the Similar Posts plugin, go to the Filter page and exclude the page(s) or post(s) in which you plan to show your albums. Similarly, you could also exclude the category in which the album(s) are displayed. Save your options and you are good to go: Similar Posts won’t appear in the pages/posts containing the albums.

Let me also use this opportunity to recommend some new features:
– Include a link to the photo album in Picasa: For me this would be most useful when the album has geotag information available. You coud also, perhaps, incorporate such features to be displayed in the blog but obviously that will take more work. Or, at least, show some icon to inform the user of the availability of geotag info.

– Allow album(s) to be displayed with blog posts, mixed with text content. That would be very useful in cases where the album is directly related to the post.

– Share/show comments of Picasa together with the photo (dunno if it’s even possible)
