Latest version of Woocommerce somehow breaks functionality. In the checkout page, each individual SKU/product will be split into its own pacakge, even if the plugin is not configured to do so. For example, see here. It splits the order into 3 separate packages, even though there is no rule to do this and no way to disable it

Hhhmmm, I cannot seem to replicate the issue on my own server. As a fresh install, it separates my cart based on class. Have you tried saving your settings to see if that fixes the problem? The default is Per Item, so it sounds like it’s not finding the setting that tells it you opted into shipping classes.
