Just to clarify the obvious first – WordPress itself won’t install plugins on its own. If “My WP Brand” showed up all of a sudden it might indicate that it was either installed by somebody else from your site with admin priviliges, or maybe the plugin was installed by another plugin as a bundle addon.. I would suggest checking with your hosting provider which should provide you with some logs on who might have installed this and when…
From what I checked in this plugin description -> “This plugin gives the facility for hiding and showing the admin menu of the side / top bar, it also gives you the options to hide the plugin lists, WordPress version, rename, and style the brand of WordPress into your brand.” it does seem to have some “hiding” capabilities, so maybe who installed it either used it to hide some site components, including the plugin itself..
You can still remove this plugin is needed by accessing your site via FTP, or asking your hosting to do so for you, in case you cannot find traces of it’s installation and to be on the safe side…. I hope this helps
