  • I was interested to test out your plugin, but got an error trying to install it.
    Pasting the install screen text below…
    =====

    Installing Plugin: Page Management 2.0
    Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/page-management.2.1.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

    Plugin install failed.

    =====

    Need to test on a fresh wordpress install yet, could it be my particular test site and a conflict with existing plugin(s)? Just a heads up in case its an error with the plugin itself. Will post back if I find it works on a fresh wp install.

    Thank you for trying my plugin.

    It looks like the unzip hasn’t worked.

    I would guess that other plugins don’t install properly?

    Same problem here. Other plugins install fine.

    Looking at the contents of you zip, there’s no php file in the root of your zip, so it’s not recognized as a plugin.

    Thanks – it’s now working.

    Apologies for not responding earlier…and thanks mpmchugh, for the diagnosis.

    Yes, other plugins were installing and working fine when I tested this one.
    It looks like a great tool, though at the time I just needed a quicker, easier way to rearrange a bunch of pages rather than manually changing the “Order” number page-by-page, and found another plugin similar to yours that did that one-off job.

    I do also like the idea of the added dropdown in the Visual Editor to give access to ALL [shortcodes] available (assuming thats every shortcode, whether created via the current theme or all currently activated plugins?), that seems a useful enough idea to even have broken out into its own plugin (if there isn’t one already with this functionality)!

    I’ll test it again soon I hope, and I’ll give a shout out to confirm its working, but it was just for a quickie job at the time…

    It now installed.

    However, the checkbox for adding the shortcodes drop down completely removed the Visual Editor toolbar.

    Thank you for your advice. Are you using tinymce? Have you got any other tinymce plugins?
