    Hello Ulrich,

    thanks for your wonderful support. How is it possibile to import chars like “ä,ö,ü,ß” or other specific utf-8 chars? In German language we have that strange chars. Now the import works fine, exept these chars. When i will import the word “beforeüandmore” it will write to the databasefield just “before”

    Hi!

    I’m having the same issue except with French names 🙂 In my case, the value of the first name was not imported to the database at all. The field first_name in wp_usermeta is empty after import.

    Thanks for using the plugin. 🙂

    I remember another user sent me an email about the same issue but with chinese characters. It was due to the formatting of the csv file.
    Please open the file in a text editor and verify if there are double quotes around all the fields (especially those with special characters).

    Great plugin, thanks for sharing it, Ulrich Sossou!

    I also have issues with importing special characters like ä or ö.
    The import of the csv works, I have checked the double quotes in Notepad++ and it’s all there.

    It would be perfect if anyone knew a solution for this problem.

    Update:
    I just checked in Np++ and it was my fault the import didn’t work. It was set to ANSI instead of UTF-8.
