I think it’s clearer to say “place the two images in between the tags.” Inside is ambiguous, while in between can really only be taken one way.
With two tags and two images, I thought I had to place one image inside the first tag and one inside the second, like this: [himage <image link>][/himage <image link>]. Adding the simple example that you gave me should clear it up nicely.

your plugin works but all the pictures are in one row, and I would like them aligned next to each other. I tried the following but its not working.

and

}
