I’m using a custom post type with multiple editor windows added using the new Editor API for 3.3. By clicking in an editor then clicking gallery or single, I can get the plugin to add the content to whichever editor I want.

However, the feature where you can click on the embedded gallery image and have the settings show up in the gallery interface only works in the main editor, so it’s a little cumbersome maintaining the galleries in the secondary editors.

Now that WordPress fully supports multiple editors on the same admin screen, is it possible to add support for galleries in these editors?

Other than that, the plugin is a great extension to WordPress’ meager image library functions!

  • @brc60: I’ll include support for multiple editors in v1.7.2, it should be out by Christmas. Thanks for the tip 🙂

I’ve been able to make File Gallery work with multiple editors without too much trouble, but I haven’t included the support in v1.7.2 yet. It’ll be included in v1.7.3, I’d just like to test it thoroughly in all browsers.

File Gallery v1.7.4-RC2 is available for download from here: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/file-gallery.1.7.4-RC2.zip

It supports multiple editors and drag and drop upload of files by dragging them onto File Gallery interface.

If you can, please test these features and tell me if they work alright or not.

    Thanks! 🙂

It seems to work in the limited testing I’ve done. Thanks for including this functionality!
