Plugin File Gallery customization

    I was wondering if it were possible to modify the template so that one main image (500px X 500px) shows on the left, and the 3 columns of thumbnails (100px X 100px) shows to the right of the main image. I would like the thumbs to be static on the post page and just have the main window swap out when a thumbnail is clicked.

    Hi spiranovich 🙂

    You’ll need JavaScript for that.

    Luckily for you, I’ve just implemented a new feature into File Gallery – if you place a “gallery.js” file into a template’s folder, it will be automatically enqueued. And you can add JavaScript dependencies by adding one line to your template’s php file.

    I’ll release the new version of the plugin this week, and I’ll create a new template – the one you’re asking for – to demonstrate the feature 😉

    Looking forward to it. I’ve been trying out another gallery plugin, but it is conflicting with my homepage slideshow jquery in the template I’m using. I wonder if your plugin will do the same.

    please try the latest beta (trunk version) and see if the “simple” template looks anything close to what you need. if yes, it can be easily modified to fit your needs even better 😉
