Events that span multiple days are reported strangely.

For example, an event starts on Oct 1 at 5:00pm and ends on Oct 3 at 9:00am.

It is currently shown on the calendar as being Oct 1 from 5:00pm – 9:00am, on Oct 2 from 5:00pm – 9:00am, and on Oct 3 from 5:00pm – 9:00am.

So (1) the date range 5:00pm to 9:00am doesn’t make sense, and (2) the event is being shown as though it’s a repeated event when in reality the event actually starts on Oct 1 at 5:00pm and goes through Oct 3 at 9:00am.

at the moment we can’t do much about this, we’ll be revisiting the whole recurring events feature soon and adding more to it.

in the meantime to get this showing as you’d like you’d want to modify the way events are displayed with formats/placeholders so long events are shown to have start/end times for the whole event.

Marcus, to be clear, what I’m seeing isn’t a recurring event problem. It’s an event that spans across multiple days.

sorry, wasn’t clear there. i got what you meant, but I meant to say it’s something we’d look at when dealing with recurring events as well as it’s closely related

OK, I understand. I’m glad that you’re aware of the problem and look forward to a fix in an upcoming release. Thanks for the great work!
