that seems way to complicated. also a csv won’t help me regardless. I need this to work across multiple sites, without the multisite set up. I was hoping the global events ability might help but there is no documentation I can find to help me determine if it would work or not. If I could subscribe to any of the streams listed above I’d be good to go, but so far no indication that it is going to work.

just to confirm, what you want is a way to import/synchronize events from an external file/site such as .ics? Is this correct?

I don’t care how it is synchronized although it would be much, much better if it didn’t have to be done manually. Some other calendar/events systems allow you to subscribe to rss or ics feeds that import automatically. That would be ideal for what I need.
