[Plugin: Easy Theme Switcher] How do I use the esw_set_theme function? | WordPress.org

I have successfully used this plugin with the url to change themes, but would prefer to use the esw_set_theme function and a dropdown select form element as I plan to have many themes to choose from.
I’m a PHP newbie and this has been stumping me for many days.
The themes are my own and I’m adding the code directly to the footer.php file (not using a widget).

Ok, I was able to convert my theme menu list (using the url method) to a dropdown select type menu using this technique: http://css-tricks.com/convert-menu-to-dropdown/ (using jQuery). See the footer of http://cyberkitty.net.

I am still interested in understanding how I would use the esw_set_theme function though. Can this be done without jQuery?
