I have just migrated a site to WP and was counting on DRP WUM to manage users, namely keep track of inactive users (no logins / no posts) and bans/deletes.

However… after migration and because the site has THOUSANDS of users, I have found the plugin to be totally useless. Mainly because:

    – There is no way to search for a specific user.
    – It is not possible to sort the columns, to be able to quickly find old registration, a specific username, or never logged in users.
    – There is no way to filter by number of logins or posts (and thus see which users have never logged in/posted) and mark them for deletion.
    – There is no direct link from DRP WUM to the user admin page, i order to be able to quickly edit/delete them (delete user link, next to ban, would also be an option).

Would be awesome if you could extend the plugin just a bit, to make it usable for user management.

    Thanks

Only works with users who join AFTER you install NOT before.

As for searching users. NO POINT us adding one in as WordPress already lets you do that. GO UNDER USERS and then top right corner is a SEARCH

As for filters use the drop down

    Links is on left

    Nah… thanks.

Found http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/amr-users/ to be WAY more flexible and efficient (and doesnt crowd up the database with entries).

Add http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/ plugin to the mix (create a banned groups) and it’s an almost perfect solution to find/edit/filter/ban/manage users.

    Thanks for the reply anyway.

Why have 2 plugins when my one does it all. Unless of course you own both of the other ones and you are TROLLING to get people interested in yours.

directresponsepublishing – Please don’t accuse people of trolling. You can see for yourself dea is not the author of that plugin.

Take it down a notch, eh?

understood ipstenu, yet in all fairness its quite easy for people to hold 2 or more accounts on wordpress but anyway point taken.

Whatever man… nice persecution complex you got going there.
This is not a popularity contest and everything I said is actually true.
    Good luck with your plugin.

I had the same problem, wanted to ban a user but didn’t want to spend 15 minutes going through page after page to find their username. Yes WordPress allows you to search for usernames using their user manager but there’s no way to ban them from there. The members plugin you linked works great!
