Plugin does not appear and does not work

    Hello,

    I would like to contact you because I have a big problem with your XML Sitemap & Google News plugin that would only serve me for the Google News sitemap, because I plan to apply within the week.

    Today I installed your plugin in order to set up a sitemap dedicated to Google News. After installing and activating it, I went to Settings / Play to select Google News Sitemap.
    Once the box is checked and after saving the parameters, this has not been taken into account. The box was deselected.

    I reiterated the operation again and it still did not work.

    So I uninstalled the plugin and disabled all my plugins, then reinstalled XML Sitemap & Google News, but nothing has changed as you can see in the screenshot (image 01). The plugin itself was no longer in the settings, yet it is well activated and online (image 02).

    I even changed the theme, but nothing works.

    I would need your help to be able to use this tool because my google request is waiting for the sitemap 🙂

    In order to keep a sitemap on my site, I kept my old plugin which is Google XML Sitemaps. However, XML Sitemap & Google News are still active.

    Je me permets de vous contacter car j’ai un gros soucis avec votre plugin XML Sitemap & Google News qui me servirait uniquement pour le sitemap de Google News, car je prévois de faire ma demande dans la semaine.

    Aujourd’hui j’ai installé votre plugin afin de pouvoir mettre en place un sitemap dédié à Google News. Après l’avoir installé et activé, je suis allé dans Réglage/Lecture pour sélectionner Google News Sitemap.
    Une fois la case cochée et après avoir enregistré les paramètres, cela n’a pas été pris en compte. La case était déselectionnée.

    J’ai réitéré l’operation une nouvelle fois et cela n’a toujours pas fonctionné.

    J’ai donc désinstallé le plugin et désactivé l’ensemble de mes plugins, puis réinstallé XML Sitemap & Google News, mais rien n’a changé comme vous pouvez le voir sur la capture d’écran (image 01). Le plugin lui même n’était plus dans les réglages, pourtant il est bien activé et en ligne (image 02).

    J’ai même changé de thème, mais rien ne fonctionne.

    J’aurais donc besoin de votre aide pour pouvoir utiliser cet outil car ma demande google n’attend plus que le sitemap 🙂

    Afin de garder un sitemap sur mon site, j’ai gardé mon ancien plugin qui est Google XML Sitemaps. Cependant, XML Sitemap & Google News sont toujours actifs.

    Bonjour, I’ve never heard this issue before. Do you have some kind of object or database caching active?

    Does the normal XML Sitemap option get saved?

    If you have access to your database (through phpmyadmin or adminer for example) could you check the wp_options table and look for options that start with xmlsf_ probably near the end of the table?

    By the way, I’m not sure if it’s going to work at all because https://www.gamersnine.com/sitemap-news.xml seems occupied by a response from Arne Brachhold’s sitemap plugin. I have not tested these together before…

    UPDATE: just tested Arne Brachhold’s sitemap plugin in combination with Google News and it works fine. So no problem there. It must be coming form something else.
