Plugin CSS in mrh-app.css overwrites sitewide styles, breaking layout
-
I’ve reported this via the contact form on myrighthorse.org twice without response, so I’m trying here in hopes someone will see it.
Style rules in mrh-app.css (which styles the embedded My Right Horse gallery) apply beyond the .mrh-wrapper container element and break site layouts by applying styles to elements far outside the scope of the embedded content. For example, styles are written for the <body> element that alter font-size on content outside the embed. These styles can easily break the site layout and require manual fixes to avoid.
Please, PLEASE contain your styles to the .mrh-wrapper element; it’s there for a reason! We’d like to keep using the My Right Horse embed on our sites, but these easily avoided scope issues with the CSS are a persistent headache, and likely pose problems for other clients as well.
Thank you for reading.
