[plugin] Created a new plugin having a problem with its capabilities

I’ve created a plugin that has a main level menu and several sublevel menus

when creating the plugin i set the capabilities on all to manage_options and as an admin i had no problem accessing them.

i now need/trying to give subscribers access to the plugin so i went back to the page where i add the menus and change the capability to “read” or 0.
i then created a subscriber user to test if if it worked.
when i login i am able to see the plugin and its pages on the left side. but then when i try click on the actual pages to access the plugin i get this message:
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Any help would be height appreciated . thanks
