    Hi there,

The plugin works great on my local environment (LocalByFlywheel) but when I activate the plugin on my production it crashes with no log or error message even though I enabled my debug log. Is there any PHP extension required for this? Also my PHP Memory Limit is 256MB. Would really appreciate for any help.

    Thanks,

    Yash Baldawa

    Hi @baldawayash15,

    Thank you for reaching out.

That sounds strange, especially if it works fine in your local environment.

BackWPup does not require any unusual PHP extension beyond the standard ones normally required for WordPress. A 256MB PHP memory limit should also generally be fine.

Could you please try activating BackWPup after temporarily deactivating all other plugins on the production site? This will help confirm if there is a conflict with another plugin.

Also, if possible, please check your server error logs from the hosting panel, as fatal errors sometimes do not appear in the WordPress debug log.

Let me know what you find, and I’ll be happy to help further.
