• I have been using Top 10 for several years. Counts are set to cycle on 30 days. There is a major inconsistency lately between the counts of Top 10, Google Analytics, and another plugin that I use called Visitor Statistics Pro. Just recently, since WordPress updated to Block Editor Widgets, the counts in the Top 10 do not seem to update anywhere close to what I see in other counters. How can I use Top 10 to be more reflective of actual traffic to my site?

Top 10 is the lowest count, followed by Google analytics. However, my other traffic counter shows major traffic even over Google. The top 10 remains almost static. I don’t see the counts changing reflected in the WordPress database.

My ISP says that the page view traffic on my site is greater than all of the plugin counts by a factor of 25 or more. That is the most confusing.

I’m not sure if the plugin is tracking properly. I tried looking at the requests but I can’t track that they succeeded.

Can you please change the Tracker type in the settings page to Query or alternatively to the REST API one.

Another option, but this requires a bit more manual work is the Fast Tracker which is better for heavy traffic.

On a separate note, it’s almost impossible for Top 10 to accurately reflect GA or maybe others. I’ve noticed when I used to run it together that it was fairly close to Jetpack stats on my sites. My plugin doesn’t track unique visitors – just page views. And, has been designed more to give you a list of popular posts vs being the analytics plugin.
