• I have been having random issues with Contact Form 7 for months. I want to shout and scream and get angry, but really it’s just utter frustration that I am continuing to have warning messages show up.

    WP v3.4.2
    Plugin v3.2.1

    http://www.okodio.com/contact/

This scenario occurs all the time:
    1. Go to contact page and fill in required details – message “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”
    2. Check backend settings – message then sends.

Today I created a test form after getting the error above on the main form. Message sent fine, and then checking main form this sent fine too.

I am also using WP-Mail-SMTP as our servers require some authentication.

Any suggestions? This is driving me totally insane and probably losing me a lot of business when clients cannot make an inquiry.

Any contact form which work better? I ask this as I have a BIG contact form to create and CF7 take ages to implement fields.

    Thanks

    Nat

  • I am having the same problem…except I am not using WP-Mail-SMTP. I am hosted on GoDaddy. I can’t figure out why this is happening

I hear about issues with GoDaddy a lot.

    – try re-creating your form or a test new one and see if it happens
    – try installing the smtp plugin so its sending the form authenticated

My form is still sending okay, but it’s likely I’ll randomly check tomorrow or in a few days and I’ll have issues, then its fine again!
