• Have to generate 3 API keys to get one valid.

Seems that API keys work only for one address. blog.com, http://www.blog.com and http://www.blog.com generate different API keys.

The form that is used to create API keys is confusing. Why the fomr is nopt getting hidden after sending the key?

Statistics do not or, it says “invalid API key” when the key I’ve entered is valid.

There’s too many bugs on a plugin that should be used to improve security. I’ve uninstalled it and put it on my plugin’s blacklist.

    Sorry.

  • I’m sorry but I have to disagree. It is logic for the form to remain because you may have multiple sites (for example I run 3 sites).

The statistics (for my sites at least) work.

And the API Keys are invalid only if you did not enter the site in the specified format at the sign-up form. Actually I had the same problem at first. But I dont consider a form that it’s not fool-proof a bug. The plugin itself works very well and I got rid of tons of comment spams. Again, it has room for improvement at the sign-up form.

You only need to register once, but you have to do it right. As it says on the sign-up page:

Make sure you enter the Site URL in the format: http://www.site.com. The “http://” part in the URL is mandatory.

Another thing to keep in mind: each API Key is issued for a specific domain. If you try to use the API Key for a different domain that the one specified in the sign-up form it won’t work. So, make sure that you use the API Key on the website you specified.

To fmonteiro: What do you mean by statistics not working?
