  • Actually, this plugin contains is badly coded and allows anyone to view arbitrary files within your WordPress installation. If you want the whole world to be able to view your config.php and the like, I recommend installing the plugin. If sharing all your configuration details with the whole world sounds like a bad idea to you though, do not install this plugin!

Actually looking at the new version 1.47 I do not see any ability to view config.php files infact the app is well written and like The Hack Repair Guy Said Really quite a nice service. I recommend this product and well done to cloudsafe365 for this plugin.

Thumbs up for the quick fix. However, quoting from the cloudsafe365 website:

Cloud computing does offers users convenient options with their digital lives, but consumers cannot rely solely on cloud services and software to protect their files and computers. They must actively participate in protecting their digital lives.

For now I chose security over convenience, even though the services offered do look very nice indeed. Just the fact that this problem got fixed quickly does, given the severity of the problem, not justify a recommendation. A security service should at least get its own security right shouldn’t it?

I am recommend cloudsafe365 plugin as it is easy and simple to use, and also they have helped me directly with a issue, there service and security has stopped my site from losing thousands of pages of data, every day from a scraper bot. Awesome work cloudsafe365
