[Plugin: Cimy User Extra Fields] How to

Hi I’m using WP 3.0.1 Cimy User Extra Fields 2.0.0

I want to use dropdown list for states. I want to make it required. The problem is that people don’t have to even touch the dropdown to submit because there is no default value. I want to have “Choose State” on top as default, so that if people choose “Choose State” or just not select anything, they get error.

I’m trying to find a regex to say Should not be equal TO “Choose State”. How can I accomplish this?
