Plugin causing critical error on site — v2.0.85

    After updating to v2.0.85, the Easy Table of Contents plugin is causing a “There has been a critical error on this website” on pages where it is active. Deactivating the plugin resolves the error immediately.

    Please advise or push a patch. Happy to provide more debug info if needed.

    Additional environment details:

    WordPress version: 7.0

    PHP version: 8.2.31 (64bit)

    Web server: Apache

    Server OS: Linux 6.12.91 x86_64

    Database: MySQL 8.4.6 (mysqli)

    Hope this helps narrow it down.
