I’ve installed the plugin, and I’ve followed all of the instructions down to the point of creating the .htaccess files. I did click the AutoMagic buttons. I successfully activated the root htaccess file. But when I tried to activate the wp-admin .htaccess file, clicking the “Activate” button produced a popup window telling me I’ve chosen to open admin.php. I decided to upload an empty htaccess file into wp-admin and try backing that up first, but then when I went to the Backup & Restore tab and clicked the radio button for Backup .htaccess files and clicked the Backup Files button, I got a popup telling me I had chosen to open admin.php. Where do I go from here? I went to a few other tabs, and it seems that now every button I click in the BPS Pro admin section throws this same popup.

This problem occurs when the php.ini handler code that is automatically created in your Root .htaccess file with AutoMagic is incorrect for your PHP Server version (PHP 5.3.x). BPS Pro 5.1.8 has new coding that prevents this problem from occurring.

    1. To get out of the loop that you are in use FTP or your Web Host Control Panel and delete the Root .htaccess file.

    2. Go to B-Core Custom Code and in the top text box “CUSTOM CODE TOP: Add php.ini handler code and / or miscellaneous custom code here”
Add this text below exactly with the # sign included and click the Save Custom Code button.

    # block php.ini handler code from being created

    3. Go to Security Modes and click the AutoMagic create secure.htaccess File button to create a new Master .htaccess file.

    4. Activate BulletProof Mode for your Root folder.
