I seem to be having theme conflicts when PublishPress Series Free is activated, this happened after the most recent update.

Here’s what it looks like when PublishPress Series Free is activated ^

Here’s what it looks like when PublishPress Series Free is deactivated ^

The latest update seems to have broken any theme on my site, I’ve tried multiple and tried fiddling with any kind of settings that might have broken things but the only way to get my site back to looking normal is to deactivate PublishPress Series Free.

Hi @jeypawlik. Thanks for using PublishPress Series. Please share more details about the testing you’ve done and any errors you see.

This isn’t something we’ve had reported by other users, or can re-create in our testing.

I updated my wordpress to 7.1.1 and now again to 7.1.2, after the PublishPress plugin updated about a week ago and somehow the plugin has completely glitched out any themes on my site as shown above.

I’ve gone through, cleared all my cache, changed themes from my current theme to a default theme (Twenty-Twenty-Six), disabled all plugins, cleared my cache again, but my site only breaks once I re-activate the PublishPress plugin.

I’m not getting any errors, just that my site looks like a plain HTML site once PublishPress is activated.

My site is pretty simple in terms of WordPress sites, I don’t have many plugins going at once and I mostly just post short blog posts with art. Again, once I de-activate PublishPress, my site goes back to looking like it did previously. Not sure what could be causing this.

@jeypawlik Maybe try deleting PublishPress Series and then re-installing? It’s possible there’s something corrupt with the update.

Beyond that, I’d recommend looking for an error message: https://publishpress.com/knowledge-base/solve-errors-plugins/

Hi Steve, looked like it was a conflict with WPCode and I’ve removed a snippet that was causing the site to break. Thanks for walking me through this and I’m glad I could get it figured out (sometimes you just need to talk it through)

    Much appreciate your help!
