Thank you but it does not solve the problem: contact messages are not sent.
There are 2 possible reasons, which have nothing to do with this plugin.
A) Broken code and javascripts from other plugins blocking this
B) Your server is probably unable to send out emails. Big Contact uses php mail function, and if your contact form does not work with javascripts disabled this must be it.

Well, as I said, I tried it on a test blog – default theme, no other plugin – and I made a test with Contact Form 7 to see. On this server, all the contact plugins I tested usually work.
Well, if I’m the only one with this problem, I suppose it’s not very important 🙂
