Plug-ins don’t automatically update anymore

    I am using WordPress version 2.6.3. Over the past while, trying to upgrade any of my plug-ins using the automatically upgrade link fail with the error pasted below. I don’t think I have changed permissions on any folders. Any idea what may give a failure such as this? —
