Is it possible your images all have the same aspect ratio? The gallery looks nicest if you use images with different dimensions. Try to combine some landscape pictures with some portraits. Also make sure you don’t use “thumbnail” as the image size, as this image size is a cropped square by default, if generated by wordpress. Try “medium” instead.
I have both portrait and landscape and saved at 800px larger size but I don’t know where to check I am using thumbnails as image sizes, they already look square when uploaded to the gallery.
I think I found the medium thing, but it looks worse now, images are following some kind or row arrangement..

could you email me the theme you are using? and send me a list of the plugins you have activated?
I had this probelm, plugin simply wasn’t working. No changes.
Went to plugins page, down to Responsive Gallery Grid and clicked edit.
In the gallerygrid.php file, scrolled to the bottom on the page, and just above the last function, is 3 actions. one for removing the old gallery shortcode, one for adding the new gallery shortcode and one for adding a filter.
Turns out for some reason the remove shortcode action and add shortcode actions were commented out. Making the plugin simply not work.
All I did was remove // and bang, it worked!
I definately didnt comment it out myself so not sure what caused it. Hope this helps someone!
Great plugin by the way! The website I use it on is basically showcasing Google Business Photos Virtual Tours, so love the Google Styling!
Hi Wilson208, thank you for the suggestion, I tried it out but it doesn’t work for me, it tries to create the gallery but from 50 images I can only see 7 at the beginning and they are re-sized and pushed out of the screen and only one is left after.
