Plug-In Installation Failure

    I just installed Akismet with no problems, but when I attempted to install All-In-One-SEO-Pack I receive the following error:

    Download failed.: Could not create Temporary file
    Installation Failed

    I received that same error when I first tried to install WordPress.com Stats, but when I looked in the Manage Plug-Ins panel there it was. I activated it and it seemed to have activated properly. However, the SEO Pack did not do this. I tried many times and I still receive the error and it is NOT present in the Manage Plug-Ins panel.

    Please assist.

    This post is to assist another who may have had problems such as mine.

    The resolution was to make sure the folder that WP was in could be written to. So when I changed the permissions, all went well.
