• I wasn’t sure where to put this topic…so I thought I’d put it in the request form (apologies if there is a better place to put this).

Anyone know of a good WordPress plug-in that allows one to embed a PDF reader onto a page? I want to put PDFs on my website for people to read (but not download). Any ideas?

  • You basically can’t do that. PDF’s (and other file types like .doc, .xls, etc) are all controlled by the users browser and what they have installed on their PC. Thanks to proper security contorls, websites can’t control those sort of things, so you have to go with what the user has set up at their end. Some people will view the file in their browser, some will download it… unfortunately you can’t control that side of things.
