Plug-in has crashed site

  • Hi All,

I inexpertly tried to amend a plug in that I use on my site, but I changed something that has now disabled the site.

The error I get when trying to navigate to the website is below.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage99/le/ga/cy/legacymanagement.org.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cookie-law-info/admin/cli-admin.php on line 45

My question is, if i go to my hosting page and delete the cookie law plugin file, will this get rid of the problem and allow me to access to the site?

FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the wp-content/plugins/cookie-law-info folder.

Wonderful, thank you very much. I’ll leave any other updates to the experts.
