Plug-in do not activate properly

I have download and install wordpress 1.52. I tried using different plugin including the default ones and some new download from other sites. I placed the required folder in plugin folder. Then I login admin interface and activate those plugin. Although it shows activated, nothing change to my site.

For your information, change of theme (at presentation section) have no problem. I am using win2003 as web server. Thank you!
