Thank you for your great rating!
A better UI is always on my list. Which part of the UI do you think is the clumsiest and what would be an alternative?
Thanks
Thomas
To finally continue on this one 🙂 This is what comes to my mind first from the user point of view (although some I understand from dev view):
– switch of ad type requires re-saving the ad (even if I just saved it)
– placements in Advanced Ads – Placements are impossible to sort, so after time I have common banners scattered all around the placements list
– when setting a static image in rich content ad, there are two places where you can set link – in the traditional media overlay and in ad tracking url input. It often happens to me that WP links Multimedia file instead of ad url that I want to track
If I come up with something else, I’ll let you know.
Thanks andrejm.
The issue with switching ad types is unfortunately a technical one that I don’t have an idea about how to solve it yet, but I share the pain.
How would you like to sort placements? There is just a table for type and name. Which one would be your default sorting? This is definitely solvable.
Spoiler: I am working on a new ad type: image ads 🙂
I hope this will solve the third issue.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond!

Great news!:)
What I meant with sorting was more of a drag-n-drop thing. So that I can have for example sidebar placements together, then in-content placements, then main banner. Now that I think of it, I tend to name the placements so that sorting them by name would be totally sufficient.
Naming them is actually a great idea and I can implement the sorting by name in the next version already.
Thanks
Thomas
Just to let you know, I changed the order of placements to use the name in the recent version of Advanced Ads.
Thanks
Thomas
Nice!:)
One more suggestion based on a recent misfortune – in the stats module, clearing the stats for an ad happens immediately – unfortunately I clicked it unintentionally (thinking it is just a duplicated choice of banner to show in stats) and my stats are gone 🙂 A prompt/popup would be nice.
Hi andrejm,
I am sorry to hear that, but there is in fact a warning. Maybe JavaScript is broken in your admin, so it wasn’t displayed…
You might be glad to hear that I already have a better solution for that implemented in the next version of the tracking add-on.
Thanks
Thomas
Yes, glad to hear that! 🙂
About the warning – now I am not sure if there was one. If so, then I am hopeless case 🙂
Nice solution about the reset stats form in latest version 😉 Thumbs up!
Thanks, I am glad that you like it. There will be more cool features in Tracking in the next weeks.
