• Hey man, really stoked with the sell media plugin, great idea and application but its lacking some functions and customisation that i feel is essential with a plugin of this sort! Mainly previewing video, is there any way to do this, showing a thumbnail is just not enough especially when people will be paying a lot of money for the videos.

Other things that i have found wrong:

    – Navigation through media is not sequential
    – Thumbnails are not consistently resized
    – There is no way to add a description on the right side bar in the product view
    – There is no option to change the layout of how the thumbnails are displayed and how many can be displayed per page.
    – There are still a lot of minor bugs that i was able to fix in the CSS that shouldn’t be there in the first place
    – The basic search bar is a lot better looking than advanced one although can only search for media names, not keywords (again css sorted the advanced searches ugliness)

Basically, great idea for a plugin but still found wanting in many areas. It almost feels incomplete.

Will there be a major update anytime soon? Specifically including video preview? If not, going to have to hack it.

    Glad you like it.

    1. Not sure I understand what you mean. Media is displayed in the order in which you uploaded it. You can change the order on the Sell Media -> Settings page.
    2. This is a problem with your theme, not Sell Media. Sell Media simply displays whatever you have set to your Medium and Large image sizes on Settings -> Media.
    3. Add product description to the post content editor and it will show up below your product. Where it is shown is controlled by your theme and css.
    4. Sell Media displays the number of posts you have set to show on Settings -> Reading. Changing the layout of thumbnails isn’t a setting, but you can change this in WP Settings -> Media -> Thumbnails.
    5. Sounds like your theme is conflicting with Sell Media. Please post a link to your site and I’ll try to help you fix your theme conflicts.
    6. Again, it sound like your theme has CSS conflicts. If the search doesn’t look like this, then you’ll need to fix your theme: http://demo.graphpaperpress.com/sell-media/
    7. Regarding video previews, post your preview video to YouTube or Vimeo and embed it in the content editor. Then upload your full-length video into Sell Media.
