Eeep, I think I found it. Looks like WP Minify was causing it……
Actually, no, it’s still happening…
Have you tried:
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
Switched to default theme, still tries to download the file.
Switched all plugins off, still tries to download the file.
In my opinion, it is something sticking in the wp_logout() function. I change that line to session_destory() and it will go to the logout page, it just won’t log me out. Any ideas?
If you don’t mind, try installing a fresh WP 3.0.3 on another folder and see if it still asks you to save the file.
Well, I got it working, but not by any real troubleshooting: I had to change hosts and reinstall, then move my backup over to the new server.
I think iPage put me on a machine that was very bogged down. WP-Login.php was apparently crashing the PHP handler. So, I’m at BlueHost now, and it’s running better than it ever has before.
I’d recommend not using iPage for this. It can’t seem to handle it.
