Places feature

Is it possible to display the map (single map, 1 location) and have a dropdown or a list of buttons that allow the user to select what type of nearby places should be displayed?

For example, if I display the location of Org#1, I would like the user to be able to select from a few options such as nearby lodging, gas stations, etc.
