Put down all the detail you can about your hosting environment, your WordPress install (plugins, themes, etc.) and the problem you are having. If you are seeing errors, copy them word for word into your post. It’s best to include the full error than to summarise – sometimes wording is important. If you did something before you came across a problem, write down exactly what you did.

You can post links to screenshots to illustrate your issues, but don’t use screenshots in place of a website link. Forum volunteers need a link to the webpage with the issue, to see a working (or broken) example of it.

If your question relates to a specific site or page, please provide a link to it. It may help others when they are trying to help you.

Be also aware, that links will not get removed any time later, unless in extreme circumstances.

I am using 2012, with header text at the top of the page about five lines of text
The Menu comes below that, followed below by a Header image. The result is that on a laptop screen, the pages selected by try menu are of the bottom – accessible by scrolling of course. But the casual viewer sees no movement no apparent selection unless he scrolls down. The same problem can be seen on an iPad
My initial solution and the subject of my query is to arrange to move the Menu to appear below the picture. Thus the ideal sequence is Header Text, Header image, then Menu

A different solution is to make the header image shorter (vertical dimension), so the title of the page selected by the menu can be seen by the viewer. thus prompting her to scroll down.

Do not edit the Twenty Twelve theme itself. First create a child theme for your changes. I would also recommend reviewing Theme Development.
